Cloth Bags anyone ?

As a kid, we have had little cloth bags for carrying milk, small pouches to carry lunch(like a "POTLI", bag with a string)all made by my grandma out of skirts/dresses, that we kids had grown out of.

With the recent "ban on Plastic bags" initiative in Bangalore - while shopping, one has to carry one's own cloth/jute bag, or pay for plastic bags. A commendable effort to bring awareness on the Eco friendly nature of recycle-able bags.

I had an idea. Some of our used/old night dresses could get up-cycled this way.

We used some of our old night wear and got a tailor to make these bags for us. 6 bags from 3 Nightdresses ! They fit so snugly in one's handbag/Purse. And each one carried about 2-3 kilos of weight! Tra la la la la!
